What are you doing for 2010?

WHAT ARE YOU DOING for the 2010 Soccer World Cup? Buying tickets for the staff to see Bafana Bafana take on the world’s best at Soccer City? Taking the entire company to the nearest public viewing point and having a party to celebrate global soccer? Putting up a big screen at your depot so the staff can watch the global spectacle live?

What are you doing for 2010?
A winning team … showing off their new corporate strip are, from left, Cargo Carriers truck drivers Zachariah Noda, Maxwell Lukhozi, Shadrack Sethonga, Lucas Khambule and Majiks Soko.

Cargo Carriers
, one of South Africa’s foremost transport companies, has entered into the 2010 World Cup spirit in great style by presenting staff with soccer themed T-shirts. The idea was the brainchild of business development and communications manager, Elmarie Ollewagen, who says she found herself surrounded by all the hype and excitement of the World Cup and wanted the company to do something and get involved.
“These T-shirts have been a great success and have done wonders for staff morale,” she says, “Suddenly everyone is talking about the World Cup and they all want a T-shirt!”

Well done Cargo Carriers!

FleetWatch is impressed by what a simple gesture like a T-shirt can do to get everyone in the company to join hands and work as a team.
Following Cargo Carriers’ lead, FleetWatch is challenging transport operators across the country to get out there and grab the spirit of the World Cup and wave the flag for Bafana Bafana and South Africa as a host nation.

We are offering a mystery prize every month for the best example of what the South African road transport industry can do to wave the flag for South Africa and the Soccer World Cup. All you have to do is send details of your soccer promotion and an accompanying photograph to fleetwatch@pixie.co.za.

C’mon everyone. Get into the spirit of it all.
