Mr Bolton's natural flair for business dynamics has seen him steadily rise through the ranks at Cargo Carriers. His ability and hands-on experience have earned him promotions from Contracts Controller to Branch Manager and, finally from Divisional Manager to Joint CEO of Cargo Carriers. He also served as Chairman of the Road Freight Association for two years, and brings a wealth of experience at all levels of the industry to Cargo Carriers.

MJ Bolton - Joint Chief Executive Officer

Mr Bolton (CA (SA) BCom (Wits) BCompt Hons (Unisa) joined Cargo Carriers in 1985 as Financial Administration Manager and within two years, was appointed as Financial Director. He later completed a Sloan Fellowship at the London Business School and was appointed Joint CEO in 1992.

Mr Maharaj (CA(SA), BCom( Natal), BCom Hons( Natal) joined Cargo Carriers in 2006 as group financial manager.  Shaneel completed his articles at Deloittes and held various other financial positions before joining the company.  He was appointed to the board as Financial Director in 2009.

Mr Chilvers has been associated with the group as an auditor and as a consultant since 1965. He was appointed to the board as a non-executive director in 1985 and was appointed deputy CEO in 1986. He has been a non-executive director since 1988 and filled the position of non-executive chairman in 2001. He is a qualified chartered accountant who has been a director for several companies over the last thirty years, both listed and unlisted. Mr Chilvers is a member of the Audit Committee, Remuneration Committee, including Chairman of the Tax Committee.

AE Franklin

Mr Franklin is a Senior Counsel at the Johannesburg Bar, in practice since 1985. He has a B.A. LL.B (Natal) and an M.A, (Oxon). He has been an independent non-executive director of the board since 27 August 2002. Mr Franklin is a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee.

Mrs Fraser graduated with a BA degree from the University of Cape Town and gained significant experience in the travel and tourism industry. She is currently directly involved in the ownership and management of a retail franchise store as well as a franchise motor vehicle retailing business. Mrs Fraser is a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee.

Mrs Mzimela is an economics and statistics graduate and her career developed through Standard Bank, Total and South African Airways. She is currently the Chief Executive of SA Express, the South African regional airline. Mrs Mzimela is a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee and was appointed to the Board in October 2008.

Mr Raseroka is currently working as a consultant on the empowerment sector. He obtained his BA Hons at Fisk University in the United States of America, and graduated magna cum laude. Mr Raseroka previously served as Managing Director of Cell C, CEO of SAA Technical, MD of SAA Cargo and Chairman of the Airline Association of Southern Africa. He has also served as Emerging Markets Manager at Shell, National Branch Manager of SAB and Human Resources Officer of the Development Bank of South Africa. Mr Raseroka is a member of the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee.

Mrs Vuso is a Chartered Accountant by training qualifying at the University of Cape Town. She completed her accounting articles at Coopers & Lybrand before moving up the corporate ladder through Transnet and the Industrial Development Corporation. She is currently the chief executive of a business advisory organization. Mrs Vuso is the Chairman of the Audit Committee and member of the Remuneration Committee and was appointed to the Board in October 2008.
