Business Structure
The company is divided into two focused
entities, one dealing with supply chain and inventory optimisation (CargoSolutions) and the other with road freight logistics implementation (Cargo Trucking).
The Solutions Division is focused on supply chain management, logistics solutions, and supply chain execution systems, and software product offerings tailor made for the industry. It consists of three divisions namely CargoWare, CargoSolutions and eCargo / Trading.
The Trucking
Division is divided into two operating divisions namely Chemical,
Fuel and Steel (CFS), and Sugar. These divisions focus on specific
Industry Verticals where their expertise, experience and resources
can add most value to their customers and the company.
The Chemical and Fuel business
unit provides specialist services to organizations in the
fuel and chemical industries, where superior attention to
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) principles
are of paramount importance. These service offerings include
depot management, stock control and logistics solutions.
The Steel and Powders business
unit operates mainly in the Steel Industry and supplies integrated
logistical services to these and other customers in the steel
industry. It also includes the bulk powders business, which
is mainly cementitious dry bulk products but includes other
products such as Calcium Carbide, Lime and Fly Ash.
The Sugar Division provides
logistics services across the entire supply chain within the
sugar industry. Services range from mechanical and manual cane harvesting, infield loading and haulage, direct to mill and zone-to-mill cane haulage, and the transportation of the industry's finished products namely alcohol, bulk sugar, bagged sugar and molasses.
Although the Sugar Division operates primarily
within the sugar vertical, due to geographical considerations,
it is also involved in the transportation of other agricultural
products such as citrus and timber.
Delivery of service excellence to customers is through excellent IT systems and controls, strong established infrastructure of branch facilities and workshops, and highly trained and skilled people.
